Easy Jet adds Newcastle to Murcia route

EasyJet have announced a new route from Newcastle to Murcia. From 17th May 2008 they will be flying three times a week from the north east airport.

Easy Jet's new service adds to the lengthening list of UK airports now offering frequent, scheduled services to and from Murcia San Javier.

In the South, regular year round flights are available from Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Southampton and Bristol in the South West. From the Midlands Murcia services operate from Birmingham and Nottingham East Midlands airports and in the North there is an extensive choice of flights from Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. In Scotland and Northern Ireland passengers can select from the services available from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast airports.

For north east based Polaris World owners, and new buyers from the region wishing to go out and view Polaris World Property , the addition of the Easy Jet service to the existing schedule operated by Jet 2 will make travel arrangements even easier.

The growth in services from the UK has contributed significantly to the increase in passengers at Murcia San Javier. Nearly 1.65 million passed through the airport in 2006, 16% more than in 2005 which was already 67% up on the 2004 total. The figures make the airport one of the fastest growing in Spain and the 2007 passenger total will be even higher.
