Condado de Alhama, Las Terrazas and Mar Menor construction latest - 29 Jan 08

Following Polaris Golf Property UK's visit to Murcia to receive Golden Partner Agent status for 2008 we are pleased to provide a construction update on the resorts under development.

Condado de Alhama

There has been huge progress on the resort since work started in summer 2007. The golf course landscaping is progressing well, the perimeter road around the entire western half of the resort (to the left of the Oasis Centre on the main plan) is now fully laid and for the most part palm tree lined, with some of the street lighting erected in places.

Jardines de Alhama

At the Jardines de Alhama Resort all of the two storey structures in all of the gardens are now complete and the vast majority of the blocks have been rendered and painted. The work outstanding now in most of the gardens is to complete the insertion of windows, interior fittings and the landscaping of the gardens. Garden 12 is the first to be fully completed and 4 show apartments were opened to the public here on Saturday 26th of January (subject to appointment). Polaris World tells us that property completions are expected to commence as early as May and run through until December. We do not yet have specific information for each garden but will of course let you know when that information is made clear to us.

For those of you who have purchased Jardines apartments, I am delighted to report that the finished product is fabulous. Without exception, the 40 strong delegation of European Golden Partner Agents gave an extremely positive response and had seen their expectations exceeded. In summary, the broad consensus was that the interiors of the apartments felt bigger than expected, the internal and external finish was of a high standard, the kitchens and bathrooms were of a good size and the fittings were of a very good standard, the ground floor terrace/garden and first floor terrace areas were bigger than expected and the solarium terrace was absolutely fantastic! In addition, everyone commented on the spacious feel of the garden, the larger than expected size of the communal pool and in general, that the finished product represented exceptional value for money. We are very confident that you will be pleased with what you find when you next visit and hope for now that the photos we have taken will help build the picture for you.

Los Naranjos de Alhama

The construction progress here in the month since we last photographed has been almost unbelievable. All of the concrete framework structures of the Penthouse blocks are now completed and block work is at an advanced stage in many cases. Similarly, the initial construction phase of the Jardines apartments is completed on every block with block work, rendering and even paintwork now completed on some. Show properties are expected to open here in the summer and Polaris World forecast that the resort will see its first completions at the end of the year. For those with Penthouses, it should be noted that the views across the golf course are going to be absolutely stunning!

Golf Suites de Alhama

Construction is scheduled to begin in 3 months with first completions estimated in 18 months.

Las Terrazas de La Torre

In Phase 1 all of the blocks are now constructed at least to the concrete frame stage with the block work on many at an advanced stage. The views from the apartments across the golf course and beyond are going to be fantastic. We stood to the front of the ‘U’ containing blocks 48 to 59 and were able to see right across the Mar Menor to the La Manga strip from a position around the height of the second floor. Polaris World tells us that the first completions in Phase 1 are expected at the end of this year.

Whilst none of the Penthouses apartment structures have yet appeared above ground, cranes are now in position near every block and the initial work is under way. We now expect the progress to be as rapid as in phase 1 which was at the same stage just a few months ago.

Mar Menor II

Work on the site began in December 2007. Cranes are now in position throughout the new phases of the resort and landscaping is underway. Polaris World tells us that the first completions are expected in 18 months.
