Murcia, 28th of December 2009 - Polaris World announces the first Nicklaus Golf Trail Championship, a competition that incorporates tournaments in each of the company's six golf courses: Hacienda Riquelme Best Golf -16th of January-, Mar Menor Best Golf -20th of February-, El Valle Best Golf -20th of March-, Condado de Alhama Best Golf -17th of April -, La Torre Sur Best Golf -15th of May- and La Torre Best Golf, where the final will be held on the 19th of June 2010.
Offering one of the best golf experiences in Europe the Nicklaus Golf Trail consists of six outstanding golf courses each with its own individual characteristics and golfing challenges to appeal to all types of golfers.
The 1st Nicklaus Golf Trail Championship will be played according to Individual Stableford rules in three male categories (up to handicap 26.4) and two female categories (up to handicap 36.4). Players can opt for two different championship prizes, the first based on consistency takes the total of the player's four best scores in each category and the other prize is for the best overall score for the six courses, regardless of category. At each round the two top players in each category will receive a complimentary green fee for the next round.

Requirements

To take part in the championship, players must be 18 or over and hold a Federation Licence and current handicap issued by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG). There is no limit on the players who can take part as should numbers exceed availability on the course, the championship will undertake two games simultaneously on two courses distributing players by category.
Those interested in taking part should contact the course at which the tournament is taking place by phone or e-mail. The entry fee for each round is 35 € for of the Nicklaus Golf Trail members and annual members; 50 € for the general public and Polaris World residents (the price includes green fee, subscription and refreshments).
