Sport & Leisure Facilities:

Numerous play areas are dotted around the resort and new sports facilities are currently under construction. There are numerous communal swimming pools located near to the apartment blocks and the sports centre will include two more as well as tennis and paddle tennis courts and a training pitch.

The centre of the resort will eventually be housed in the old Hacienda building. The extension and restoration of this site will create a new clubhouse and town centre area featuring a choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Work has started and the first facilities are expected to open by the end of 2009.

Hacienda Riquelme is the fourth golf course on the Nicklaus Golf Trail. It opened in June 2008 and is a real test for golfers. It measures 6416m and is a full par 72 - 18 hole - course. Numerous lakes, long holes and patches of rough make this a good test of golf. The fairways run between Olive trees, wild flowers and 5 lakes and are sown with the latest variety of Paspalum grass which has a high saline tolerance. This allows the grass to stay in perfect condition with less water.

Attractively located in gently undulating foothills near to Sucina only 20 minutes drive from Murcia City - the historical and cultural capital - and 15minutes from the Mar Menor and its beaches.
